The Brazilian city, Rio de Janeiro, is world famous for the Christ the Redeemer statue on top of Sugarloaf Mountain. Here you can see expensive high rise houses and hotels which are close to the waterfront. At the bottom of the picture is the other side of Rio, with thousands of people crammed into slum housing built onto the mountainside.
