New houses
El Salvador was hit by a massive earthquake in 2001. This destroyed houses and left many families homeless. Thanks to the help of SCIAF supporters in Scotland, COMUS was able to build many homes. They used a new technique of using a wooden frame covered in cement when building the new houses. The new houses cost as little as £276.
