SCIAF also helps local people to produce and sell organic coffee. There are a number of benefits of growing coffee organically – it sells for a much higher price but also means that workers and animals aren’t exposed to dangerous chemicals. The coffee is then packaged by workers like Juana and sold to countries around the world.
