At the Kasisi Training Centre, farmers like Vincent are taught how to use compost to make better soil. Vincent makes his compost by collecting dung from his animals and from waste matter from his farm. Compost is vitally important and Vincent says that “from this compost the soil becomes incredibly rich and sustaining. It will provide superior crops to chemical farming, especially when we add manure tea while the plants are growing.”
