SCIAF's work in Colombia

According to the United Nations, the country of Colombia in Latin America is one of the world’s most dangerous places for children. There is a lot of conflict and violence in the country. Many young people get involved in violent crime or join paramilitary groups as child soldiers. They join because their families are very poor and often have no money to buy food. One of the projects SCIAF supports in Colombia is called ‘Defence of the Children’. They are helping families feed and care for their children so they grow into healthy adults who work to create a happier, safer country for everyone.
