When it comes to celebrating Fairtrade Fortnight, Hillhead High School in Glasgow, and its associated primary schools, do it in style!
In 2007, the schools organised a fantastic Ready, Steady, Cook event using top chefs from Glasgow's West-End hotels and restaurants. The chefs and their team members from the different schools had just 20 minutes to cook up a delicious meal using Fairtrade ingredients.
This year, the schools were determined to go one step further and organised a highly professional and stunning fashion show. The whole community got involved with local businesses pitching in to help do the hair and make-up and get the students ready for the performance. High street chain, M&S, even supplied some of its Fairtrade clothes for the show.
Well done to all and congratulations to Hillhead High on gaining its Fairtrade school status!
