December 2008
If you visited Our Lady's High in Motherwell in October then you may be forgiven for thinking that you had landed in Uganda! The school was playing host to two visitors from SCIAF's partner organisation - the Kamwokya Christian Caring Community [KCCC] which is based in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda.
Robert and Teddy from KCCC discovered that Our Lady's High is like a home from home thanks to the inspiring partnership that has linked the school and the project for the last eight years. They were amazed by the many ways pupils learn about Ugandan life and culture through throughout the school - from Ugandan dancing in PE to Ugandan cooking in Home Economics. The school even have their own outstanding African drumming group which has performed at many high profile events.
Congratulations to all and a big Webele Nyo from SCIAF!
