Pupils of Our Lady and St Patrick’s High, Dumbarton, didn’t hang about when it came to taking part in SCIAF’s 24 hour sponsored FAST - they raised a whopping £4,000! The students were presented with certificates by ex-pupil, James O’Brien, who now plays for Celtic FC and the Republic of Ireland national football team. Money was also raised by the pupils through a raffle of a Celtic jersey, which was organized by a 6th year pupil with the help of Tommy Burns. Further donations were raised through lunchtime concerts, charity bingo sessions and sponsored silences. The outcome of the pupils’ hard work was a cheque for £6,000 bringing the total raised for SCIAF since 1993 to a massive £42,342. Keep up the good work and thanks to all!
