Young people at Queen Margaret Academy in Ayr made a splash recently in support of action on climate change.
The whole school took part in a PSHE lesson inspired by The Wave – Scotland’s largest ever climate change march which took place in Glasgow on 5th December.
Staff and pupils learned about how climate change is already affecting people in developing countries and how SCIAF is helping them adapt to and survive the changing weather.
They also discussed how people in Scotland can campaign and put pressure on politicians to take action
Everyone dressed in blue and took part in a 300-strong Mexican wave in the school yard to show support for SCIAF’s ongoing work to tackle the issue of climate change.
