St Andrew's and St Bride's

Fundraising stars at St Andrews and St Brides in East Kilbride have collected an incredible £2,564 for SCIAF’s Haiti Earthquake Appeal.

Pupils reached their impressive total in just one day after 5th and 6th year students went round the school with collection buckets.

The money is being used to help people who lost their homes in the earthquake by giving them food, water, tents, blankets and medical care.

SCIAF School’s Officer, John Sharp visited the school to thank everyone for their generous donation and explain how their support is helping communities in Haiti.

He said: “I would like to say a big thankyou to everyone at St Andrews and St Brides for their amazing fundraising efforts. This money will allow us to continue delivering emergency aid to the people who need it most. It will also help to support long-term recovery in Haiti so that people can survive, recover and rebuild.”
