St Augustine's High, Edinburgh

Pupils at Edinburgh’s St Augustine’s High raised an amazing £7000 for SCIAF in 2008!! This brings the school’s total donations to SCIAF to an incredible £55,662 since 1993!!!

Each form class was given a target amount of money to raise. Events included ‘Beat the Goalie’ competitions, lunchtime cake stalls and ‘Spot the Teacher from their Baby Photo’ competitions.

Cardinal O’Brien was on hand to accept the cheque on behalf of SCIAF and say ‘thank you’ to the pupils, staff and parents of the school. Alice Ligunya, the manager of the SCIAF office in Southern Sudan was also present and was able to tell how the donation will touch lives in areas affected by years of war.
