St Benedict's Welcome Special Guest

Pupil’s at St Benedict’s High in Linwood welcomed a special guest from Ethiopia recently.

Teamrat Belai, who works at SCIAF’s office in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa visited the school to help kick-start this year’s WEE BOX, BIG Change campaign. She spoke to staff and pupils about how money raised for SCIAF is helping families in her home country.

Last year, pupils at St Benedict’s raised over £2,700 for SCIAF during Lent. That money was used to help communities across Africa, Asia and Latin America to free themselves from poverty and hunger – for good.
