St Brigid's Africa Day

St Brigid’s Primary in Toryglen brought some warmth into winter by holding an amazing African day.

Primary 7 pupils interviewed former pupil Erin McGinley about her experiences in Malawi, where she recently visited as part of a group from Holyrood Secondary. In the afternoon there were African workshops where pupils could meet some of our friends from Ghana and Zimbabwe and find out more about life in Africa. The children learned some dances and songs and made African masks. Everyone had a great time and learned a lot.

Last year the school raised £500 during Lent to support SCIAF’s work.
