Find Fairtrade And you’re a star….Isolate wrapper. Retrieve free bar!
In St Elizabeth’s Primary School, Hamilton, all the pupils and their families are encouraged to buy Fairtrade products. Pupils who bring their used Fairtrade wrappers into school can swap it for a Fairtrade chocolate bar generously donated by the Co-op.
In addition, senior pupils also wrote to all local stores requesting Fairtrade to be used in their Walk to School Fairtrade Breakfast back in March. Each walker and their families were asked to pay 50p for Fairtrade drink with toast and a Fairtrade topping. Money raised from this event was donated to charity.
As if this wasn’t enough, St Elizabeth’s and St Peter’s primary schools joined together to host a School Council Forum in Hamilton, where the theme was Fairtrade rights and responsibilities.
Congratulations to St Elizabeth’s for being Fairtrade wrap-stars!
