St Helen's Primary, Bishopbriggs

March 2009

The enterprising pupils of Primary 1 at St Helen’s sold beautifully illustrated packets of seeds at their Christmas Fayre to raise money for SCIAF. Altogether 210 of handcrafted seed packets were sold to parents, neighbours and friends.

Seeds of love

The budding business stars donated £105 to SCIAF and purchased some amazing Real Gifts for families in need. These gifts included: one pig, one chicken, one community fish farm, equipment and skill training for 10 families. The money will also provide beekeeping training for 10 families as well as the know-how of growing mushrooms. There is even enough to buy tools for those families.

The pupils of St Helen’s Primary have raised the amazing sum of £4,326.44 for SCIAF since 1993.

Well done to all the busy bees at St Helen’s and thanks for your great support!
