Pupils at St Joseph’s Primary in Glasgow worked hard all through Lent to raise an incredible £1,105.68 for SCIAF.
The children more than doubled their fundraising target of £450 (which was £50 more than they raised last year).
The whole school collected money in their WEE BOXES and held a crazy hair day and a pajama day to raise cash.
Each class also organised activities for ‘SCIAF week’. These included a cake and candy stall, an Easter bonnet parade, a penny race, guess the number of sweeties in the jar, an Easter egg competition, a sponsored fun run, and guess the Easter Bunny’s Birthday.
Catherine McGrath from SCIAF visited the school to thank the children for their kind donation and explain how SCIAF will spend the money.
