St Mary's Primary, Hamilton
March 2009
Congrats to the pupils of St Mary’s Primary in Hamilton for raising the fabulous amount of £2050 for SCIAF during Advent 2008 – smashing their target amount of £1500!
Raising this sum was a real team effort but some examples of generosity include:
- One family donated the money they would have spent on their grandfather’s Christmas present (their grandfather had recently passed away).
- Another family made a gift of the money which was in their grandfather’s wallet when he passed away.
- One P1 pupil raised an immense £70 by asking family and friends to sponsor him to swim 2 lengths of the swimming pool. What an amazing achievement for a 5-year-old!
Pupils, staff and families at St Mary’s have raised a staggering £14,924.46 since 1993! You are all champions for your efforts and generosity!
