April 2008
The pupils of St Monica’s Primary in Coatbridge celebrated Fairtrade Fortnight in style.
The Fairtrade Steering group held a ‘Fairtrade Friday Frenzy.’ All pupils in the school took part in a variety of exciting Fairtrade activities including a banana hunt, beat the goalie, pineapple limbo, fruit kebabs and design a Fairtrade biscuit.
The event was a great success and pupils, staff and visiting guests agreed so too.
So much so, the pupils of St Monica’s cannot wait for next year’s Fairtrade Fortnight celebrations.Plans are already underway!
