Children at St Sophia’s in Galston raised an amazing £1,000 for SCIAF during Lent.
Each class took responsibility for one week during Lent. They held all sorts of activities to help raise money, including bring-and-buy sales, tuck stalls, competitions and raffles.
They also created a wonderful Hive of Activity wall display.
SCIAF’s Tommy Dobin visited the school to thank everyone for their hard work and tell them about some of the people in Africa, Asia and Latin America that the their money is helping.
The children presented him with this wonderful buzzy bee cheque.
