St Thomas Aquinas Secondary in Glasgow pulled out all the stops this year to support SCIAF’s life changing work around the world.

At the start of Lent, senior pupils from the school headed to SCIAF’s office to help launch the WEE BOX, BIG Change appeal alongside Susan Boyle.

After that teachers and pupils organised a host of different fundraising events in their school during lent which saw a whopping £3,467.75 being raised. What a great effort!

A key part of the fundraising efforts was the 24 Hour Fast and Overnight Vigil held in the school by 5th and 6th year pupils (and teachers).

Old favourites, including car washing, a non-uniform day, sponsored silence and bucket collections once again proved successful. A fantastic talent show, sponsored pupil head shave (which was closely watched by almost the whole school) and the sale of sock monkeys also proved popular.

SCIAF would like to thank everyone at the school for their generous support.
