Connecting St Charles Primary with SCIAF’s work in India

SCIAF was delighted to welcome one of our partners from India to Scotland recently as part of our Project Connect scheme. Mr Gopi, from SCIAF’s partner in Southern India - the Association of People with Disabilities (APD) in India - visited primary and secondary schools around the country that have signed up for Project Connect.

Included in his visits was a stop at St Charles Primary in Newton where he explained to pupils about what life in India is like, the different festivals that are celebrated in India, and most importantly the amazing work that APD does to help disabled people.

Mr Gopi had a great time at the school trying to answer all the questions that the pupils had for him, and thanking them for their support.

St Charles’ Primary recently handed over £300 for SCIAF’s work in India, which supports life changing projects including APD. Thanks to everyone at St Charles Primary.
