If it can be done then it can be sponsored. Check out these ideas for sponsored activities and don't forget to download a SCIAF Sponsor Form!
Sports events
Cycle, run, rollerblade, unicycle, skate, bounce
Silence
Sheer bliss for teachers. Sit back and enjoy!
Read
Don't just read any old book. Use your sponsored-read time to learn more about the lives of people in poor countries.
Walk
See how many times you can walk around the school or local castle or park. Why not carry a bucket of water at the same time to find out what life can be like for children in poor countries?
Spell
Use this time to learn the names of poor countries or key words relating to world poverty and wealth.
For the home-birds: construct a small house from cardboard boxes and plastic sheeting and get sponsored to live in it for a day. See if you can get a local celebrity to join you.
For the outdoory-types: arrange a sleepout to show solidarity with streetkids and homeless. Choose a safe venue and make sure everyone comes well prepared. Have a 'bail-out' place nearby just in case it gets too cold or wet.
