Your money goes a long way with SCIAF!

Here are just some examples of how we use your donations to help people across Africa, Asia and Latin America.

£10 for improved farming skills

In the dry, rocky Tigray region of Ethiopia, it can be hard to grow enough to eat. When the rains fail, crops die and people go hungry. Almaz's family were given agricultural training to help them get the most from their land so that they can avoid hunger.

£10 to stock a fish farm

Sulma and Louis from El Salvador used to survive on just one corn cob a day because climate change destroyed their crops. Thanks to SCIAF supporters, their family now has a fish farm which provides them with nutricious food to eat - even if their crops fail.

£12 to help care for children in Uganda

When Santo's parents were killed, he was left to look after his four younger brothers - not an easy task when you're 14 years old and living in a war zone. SCIAF funding paid for school materials and other essentials to help his family work towards a better life.

£20 to keep crops alive

Climate change caused severe drought in Maryelis's village. Crops were dying and families were going hungry. With your help, SCIAF is giving communities in Latin America agricultural training so that they can protect their plants from floods and drought. Now Maryelis's family can grow food whatever the weather.

£25 for beeking

In Ethiopia many children only eat one small meal a day. A beehive means Sindu's family have two harvests of tasty honey a year - plenty to eat and extra to sell at market. For £25, SCIAF can provide a family like Sindu's with beehives and skills in beekeeping so that they can eat well and be healthy.
