Global Citizenship Award

The aim of SCIAF’s Global Citizenship Award is to recognise and celebrate the outstanding efforts of young people in the UK who have demonstrated passion and commitment in working for a more just world.

Who can apply?
Teachers or youth leaders can nominate up to 35 young people from their school or group in any one academic year. The award is open to all young people of primary and secondary school age (5 -18 years).

Criteria

• All applications must demonstrate the international dimension of the pupils’ activities. However, local citizenship activities can also be listed to support applications.

• Awards will not be granted solely for fundraising activities – this is because SCIAF would like to encourage young people to explore the variety of ways they can be active global citizens.

How do I apply?
Simply complete the online application form below. If your application is successful, SCIAF will post the requested number of blank certificates to your school, or youth group, for presentation to the pupils at a prize-giving or annual award ceremony.

Please send photos to us by email [youth@sciaf.org.uk] – we’d love to post them on our photogallery to share your great ideas and inspire other young people.
