In 2006, Scottish pupils and young people from Uganda took part in a poetry competition organised by SCIAF. The competition involved Scottish schools linked with the Kamwokya Christian Caring Community [KCCC] in Uganda. KCCC is one of SCIAF's overseas partner organisations and is based in a slum area in Uganda's capital city, Kampala.
