Tree of life

SCIAF has invited schools all over Scotland to create a tree of life to support their Lenten fundraising activities in 2009.

Trees of life are bursting into bloom all over Scotland as pupils bring in their donations, colour their leaf and add it to their tree display.

The trees symbolise the new life that pupils have brought, through their generosity, to communities in need across the world. The tree of life also helps to remind pupils of the importance of trees to the world’s poorest people as they struggle to cope with climate change.

We’ve been amazed at the wonderful displays we’ve seen all over Scotland as we’ve visited schools. Please email us pictures of your tree of life display so we can create a forest of life photogallery on our website.
