Levels of hunger in Ethiopia are amongst the worst in the world. In Tigray in the north of Ethiopia the rainy seasons have been very poor over the last few years. The rocky, harsh landscape also makes it difficult to grow food. To make matters worse the global food crisis has meant that the price of food has gone up, making it too expensive for many families.
SCIAF, through the work of our local partners, is transforming lives by finding sustainable solutions to the problem of hunger.
