This year, World Fair Trade Day will explode with energy, noise and a BIG BANG on 9th May 2009!. There will be an amazing number of events circling the globe!

People from every corner of the world are coming together to make this day special. Politicians, superstars and fairtraders will be banging their drums to let the world know that we need to stand together to Beat poverty, Beat climate change and Beat the economic crisis.

World leaders including Gordon Brown and Barack Obama are already supporting the campaign as well as superstar Sir Paul McCartney and singer Annie Lennox.

WFTD09 is presented by the World Fair Trade Organisation and the 110,000,000 artisans, growers, farmers, producers who are at the heart of the world fair trade monement.
