Celebrating Romero

SCIAF has launched an exciting new schools resource in memory of Archbishop Oscar Romero.

Oscar Romero was a true global citizen who stood up for the rights of poor people in his home country, El Salvador. He was murdered 30 years ago while saying mass on 24th March 1980 but he continues to inspire people in El Salvador and around the world.

Ciudadanos del Mundo (Citizens of the World)is a free, online resource for RE and Modern Languages which helps young people in Scotland to learn Spanish in a fun, interactive way. It features a video wall of short films and interviews focusing on the legacy of Oscar Romero, the lives of young people in El Salvador and SCIAF’s work.
