SCIAF has joined forces with over 170 Catholic aid and development charities from around the world to kick start a massive global climate change campaign.

The Create a Climate for Justice campaign is calling on world leaders to act quickly to stop global warming.

The new campaign was launched in Poland at the same time as the United Nations talks on climate change.

Bishops from Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas met to discuss and raise awareness about the terrible effect of climate change on the world’s poor.

between 2000 and 2004, about 260 million people were badly affected by climate disasters every year. Nearly all of these people live in the world’s poorest countries. 13th March 2009
