Pupils from St Columba’s High School in Dunfermline met Gordon Brown to call for tough action on climate change.
They handed the Prime Minister over 5,000 Climate Justice campaign postcards signed by SCIAF supporters from all over Scotland.
Climate change is already causing deadly droughts, floods and hurricanes which spread disease and leave millions of the world’s poorest people without food or a roof over their heads.
Most scientists agree these natural disasters will keep getting worse unless rich countries cut down on the amount of carbon dioxide pollution they produce.
In December, Gordon Brown is meeting other world leaders in Copenhagen (the capital of Denmark) to agree on a plan to tackle climate change.
SCIAF’s Climate Justice postcards ask them to find a solution that will stop climate change from getting worse and help people in poor countries to adapt and survive the changing weather.
A big thankyou to everyone who signed one of our campaign postcards! You are helping us make a difference.
